Nuh uh... uh huh.. . No way... Way... "There's no such thing." Is too.......

Braniff.......... remember Braniff?    Braniff was an airline that actually had a nice, long run. (1928 thru 1982).. "Thanks", in part to, deregulation, high fuel prices, credit card interest rates, extreme competition, ultimately went to Chapter 11.  MANY airlines struggled in this time frame, Chapter 7's, buyouts, mergers, yada.  Turbulence, so to speak, and sorry (kinda) about the pun. One eyebrow was raised when Braniff reemerged from the ashes in the mid 80's, nonetheless, ads ran with the ever popular, solid, Wilfred Brimley espousing, Braniff..... Believe it.  For awhile I guess, folks did, but they ultimately bit the dust.

Do you believe in magic?  No, that ain't it.

Do you believe in Bigfoot?  Nessie? Mermaids?  Unicorns? Them there creatures from Roswell, NM? Spongebob? Sorry, jk on that one, kinda.

Would you believe a hippo's jaws will open wide enough to fit a sport's car inside?  Well, that one's true.

Do you believe CNN, FOX, Trump, Biden, Gladys Kravets, Eddie Haskell, George Costanza, Cliffy, Ripley?  That Wimpy will actually pay you back Tuesday?

Howabout that astronauts grow taller in space? (They do.. something about the lack of gravity allowing their spines to stretch out.)..   That snakes can sense earthquakes?  It's twue, it's twue, it's reawwy twue.. from 75 miles way a staggering 5 days before they happen. Ok, I'd like to ascertain howinthehell they determined that too, but, it's on the internet, so it must be true, right?

I always thought they shoulda re-released Bill Wither's "Ain't No Sunshine" during the Solar Exclipse, but, rearranged the words as "Ain't No Sunshine When It's Dark". Believe that.

Caitlin Clark. Hearda her?  If you've been under a rock, #1, I'm glad you didn't get crushed. #2, she is THE all-time leading scorer in ALL OF College Basketball.  "No she ain't" male piggy sportswriters say, "she wouldn't even score 3 points in an NBA game."Aye yai yai, mysogynist much?  Or... howabout the fact they didn't have the 3 point shot when Pistol Pete set the record.............OR, that Freshman couldn't play when Pete was in school, he missed a whole year!  Ahm, Victor? Yes?  You went to a small college.  Haven't you heard of Grace Beyer?  WHO? Grace Beyer, she's now 23, but in College at an NAIA school, SHE scored 276 more total points than Caitlin.

I give up.  Whodoya believe on anything?

Victor............ is there a point to this whole damn thing?

Yes, but it gets ugly, sorry, and I am actually sorry (not kinda, but truly sorry.)

All morning long the word PERFECTION has sidestepped coffee, inhaled cigarette smoke, one candy bar, 4 hours of sleep............ and IMBEDDED in my brain.

TMI.  Aye yai yai, here we go (again).  Yes, here we go.  As parents, grandparents, some mated, maybe not - we have disagreement on who's right, wrong, take this path, no, take that path, who does more, less, verbal stones are thrown, bigger, meaner ones are sent back... niether party feels wortha crap once the smoke clears... so...... you sit...  you can, do think bad of yourself, rightfully so... certain maybe the other does as well.. so ya sleep interruptedly, not long enough, ya get up to blog, spank your own butt, look in the mirror to see if you still like yourself...

Then you rationalize.......

There's no such thing as perfection.

But... .but... Why can't it be like Ward, June, Wally and the Beav?  Andy, Opie, Aunt Bea?  The Waltons?

Well, it ain't.

And then perspective sets in. The kid who bitched about not having the latest Jordans, being shown a kid that has a big ole hole in his only pair of shoes.. who.. felt sorry for himself until he saw the boy with NO shoes..  then he saw the child with no feet.

A sport's car may fit in hippo jaws... perhaps there were bodies recovered in Roswell back in the day..   Life ain't about perfection.  There's no such thing, try as we might.

Whenever one feels bad, sorry for themselves, yada... pull your bootstraps up (yes, I need to) and be a big boy. There is ALWAYS someone worse off.  My own father's mother died when he was 6.  Passed around from Aunt/Uncle, Aunt/Uncle, Father, repeat.  I have friends in life who have lost children. I simply can not imagine.  They would give anything to have a parenting, grandparenting discussion.

Sure, we can blurt, hurt, feel bad..  and stating "There's no such thing as perfection" is most definitely a copout.  But too, it's true.  Divorce, death. Grandparents raising grandkids. Thirty somethings who may never leave the nest.

Perfect moments, yes.  Never perfection.  Before I hit send.. I can hear, sense, actually will be said/thought, "Really?  Really Victor?"..   and my answer is yes.  Yes because, if you ever have an argument, disagreement, wing hurt (or wing hurt back).. this too may 'fit you', as in, you ain' t the only one.  Look up and down your street, then, think of the experts who say families argue, on average, 6 times a day.  Divorce, location, many factors can make that number higher (or lower). Argument is out there, on every block.

Sometimes ya push the plate back to the center of the table when you don't like what's on it, even (or especially) if you cooked it yourself..  I think most of us do.

Life, we, are human, hear us roar. Sorry, really.

Love, Victurd
