Who am I?

'Landed here' in 1928.  Mother was a nurse (and card dealer), Father a doorman and Navy dietician.  The three, and, her older brother.  A calamitous marriage ended, and when she was 3, her brother 4......they were found traveling by train (alone) to Arkansas to live with their paternal grandmother, owner of a general store there.

Four years later, daddy came back, fetched the kids... took 'em back to Missouri to live with their mother...  She (the 'who am I') was sexually abused and raped by her mother's boyfriend. She told her brother, he told the remainder of the family.. accuser was arrested, spent one day in jail... released.. murdered four days later, presumed by her uncles.

She became mute for nearly five years.  "I believed my voice had killed him. I killed that man because I told his name, so I thought I'd never speak again because my voice would kill anyone."

Her, her brother, back to Grandma shortly thereafter.  A teacher, and friend of the family, finally coaxed her into "You do not love poetry, not until you speak it."

Their trek across America continued at age 14 and 15, back to mother, this time living in Oakland, CA.  By age 16, she achieved her dream job in San Fran as a Streetcar Conductor, the very first Black female street conductor. She would graduate High School at 17, and birth a son three weeks later.

Ba-bom-a-bBa-bom-a-bom-bom.. Ba-bom-a-bom-bom.. Ba-dang-a-dang-dang.. Ba-ding-a-dong-ding

Tomorrow.  Yes Annie, ya little redheaded snotnose (MISOGYNIST..  bite me, I TOO was a little redheaded snotnose.. mebbe still am).. ahem, yes Annie, the sun'll come out tomorrow... But.... so too will the moon.  As in, the Blue Moon.  What's a blue moon?
So very glad you asked.  Some site (how's that for plaguerism?) says:
"There are two types of Blue Moons but unfortunately, neither has anything to do with color.  A seasonal Blue Moon is the traditional definition of a Blue Moon and refers to the third full moon in a season that has four full moons according to NASA. The second definition — which arose from a misunderstanding of the original — is the monthly Blue Moon, referring to the second full moon in a single calendar month. Today, this monthly Blue Moon is accepted as an alternative definition rather than a mistake, according to Time and Date.

The upcoming Blue Moon on Aug. 19, 2024.Aug will be a seasonal Blue Moon. THAT's TOMORROW. Right Annie?  (The Kleenex is on the coffee table, yw.)

Blue moon, moon, moon, blue moon (dip-de-dip-dip)Moon, moon, moon, blue moon (dip-de-dip-dip)Moon, moon, moon, blue moon (dip-de-dip-dip)
Blue moon (moon, moon, moon, blue moon)You saw me standing alone (dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)Without a dream in my heart (dip-de-dip-dip, ,moon, moon, moon, blue moon)Without a love of my own (dip-de-dip-dip)
The moon, me thinks as a general consensus - is romantic.  As a kid, it usually meant you're getting chiggers alloverya, the crickets are performing a flash mob - and, you're borderline close to getting in trouble for being home after you're sposeta.
Blue moon (moon, moon, moon, blue moon)You knew just what I was there for (dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)You heard me saying a prayer for (dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)Someone I really could care for (dip-de-dip-dip, ooh ah, wow-wow-wow)
And then there suddenly appeared before meThe only one my arms will ever holdI heard somebody whisper, "Please adore me."And when I looked, the moon had turned to gold, oh
Or mebbe, and, then too, as ya get older... you're at the Drive In.. you look up.. Whoop, there it is. The Moon. That thing of beauty.  It's then, and only then, ya realize ya probably hadn't oughta be lying down across the front seat with Peggy Sue... sit up, watch the movie ya paid good money for.  Poor kids nowadays... they stopped making bench seats in cars in 2011, damnit darnit.
Blue moon (moon, moon, moon, blue moon)Now I'm no longer alone (dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)Without a dream in my heart (dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)Without a love of my own (dip-de-dip-dip)
Moon (blue moon, moon, moon, blue moon)(Dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)(Dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)(Dip-de-dip-dip)
The moon is 4 hunnerd times smaller than the sun.. yet, 4 hunnerd times closer to Earth. The moon was made when a rock smashed into the Earth.  It takes 27.3 days for the moon to travel all the way around Earth.  You write well Victor.  Ha Ha, very funny, of course I'm stealing this.
Ah (Blue moon, moon, moon, blue moon)(Dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)(Dip-de-dip-dip, moon, moon, moon, blue moon)(Dip-de-dip-dip)(Ba-bom-a-bom-bom)(Ba-bom-a-bom-bom)(Ba-bom-a-bom-bom)(Ba-dang-a-dang-dang)(Ba-ding-a-dong-ding)
The moon is the only other place man (OK, a human) has stepped foot.  It ain't made of cheese. There is water on it.  You can't breathe on the moon.
Just my opine.  The moon is seductive, therapeutic, wondrous, Nature's dopamine... and a loyal friend.  Get out there tomorrow.  Shoot a moon. Er, I mean, shoot your camera at the moon.  Shoot a moon too if ya wanna, it'll be dark.
Blue moon

Peace.........

Oh, the brain.

First, ty for being here.  I try, I really do try, to hopefully make you think, maybe smile, simply take a quick break from the sometimes, actually oft times, cruel, hard, fast paced world.

The song YMCA kept wafting thru my brain.  A blog on abbreviations? Nah. Did that. I think like in 2019 or so.

Songs.  Songs waft thru my brain.  I don't think I've ever typed 'waft' before in my life and now, I've used it twice today.  Weird.  I hear a song, or I see a face - a song or a face from my past, so I think "Do that, do  that.... do a blog about 'who' in your past sang 'what'. Yes, it'd be about you (which bores the heck outta everyone else, but, mebbe it would send their brain thinking likewise, and they could think "well, my Mom always sang..." or, "My sister always belted out such-n-such song."

Ok, but not a whole blog.

"You get a line I'll get a pole, honey" (Grandpa).......

"Sal's gotta meatskin laid away, to grease his wooden leg every day." (Granny)...

"Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li, Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Hush, now, don't you cry!" (Mom, sung to redhead freaklefaced little kid.)

"Oh the shark babe, has such teeth, dear" (Father... post mother's stroke.. as he cooked, cleaned, bellowed 'happy'.)

"Touch down, every morning - TEN TIMES! Not just, now and then, give that chicken fat back to the chicken and don't be chicken again." (Grade schools across the land in the fitties... long about when we'd learn how to hide under our desks during 'the arms race'..)

Victor?  I thought you said (about doing a blog on songs, corresponding with who sang em in your past) "OK, but not a whole blog."?

"We wish you weren't here at Christmas, we wish you weren't here at Christmas"...or.. "Go to sleep,  little creep"..    some wise-ass father, stepfather, uncle, inlaw, blogwriter, yada.

"R-E-S-P-E-C-T, Find out what it means to me, R-E-S-P-E-C-T, Take care, TCB, oh, (Sock it to me, sock it to me, sock it to me, sock it to me) A little respect (Sock it to me, sock it to, me, sock it to me, sock it to me), Whoa, babe"  Wiki say #1 song alltime, so, hella... hella folks have listened to, sang.

My name is Victor and I'm a musicholic.  I'm sorry. Kinda. Music is my:  Wellbutrin, Aleve, BP med, leave me alone CNN/FOX, Miller Lite all wrapped into one.

Take this job and shove it...............  You put the lime in the coconut.   How can yer have any pudding if yer don't eat ya meat?

124.  Keith Richards age?  No, but close.  That's the number of 'woo woo's' in Sympathy for the devil. (Please allow me to introduce myself...)

Life is a ball of confusion.  I'm up to 32 friends on Facebook but, I've never shot a rabbit.

Happy Birthday.  O say can you see......   O beautiful, for spacious skies...  TAKE, me out to the ballgame...

You ain't nuthin but a hound dog......  Who let the dogs out?......  Me and you and a dog named Boo...   How much is that doggie in the window?....

You may be right, I may be crazy......  They're coming to take me away haha.....   Crazy, I'm crazy for feeling so lonely, I'm crazy for feeling so blue.....

This bloggin' crap is EASY!  Don't write, just sing with ya dayum keyboard!  Sell swampland in Florida!

Victor............. that's enough....

Right, right, you're bloody well right, you know you're right to say.....

Go your own way......  Hit the road Jack.....  Goodbye yellow brick road....   Leavin on a jet plane......  These boots are made for walking.....  So long, farewell......

Trouble (oh we got trouble).. Right here in River City (right here in River City)... Sweet Caroline, (baa baa baa).. Good times never seemed so good (So good so good!)

As you termed it, "wise-ass" are you about done?

There are more than 100 million songs registered on Spotify.

But....... since you asked so nicely.

Now it's time to say goodbye to all our company....

Ahm, V-I-C (C'ya real soon)...  T-U-R-D.. there's no one here any longer.. they left around the 3rd paragraph.

You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free
Ooh, slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan

You've got chocolate in my peanut butter! You've got peanut butter in my chocolate?!!

This is, kinda, a recording.  Yes, this blog is about love, but no, it ain't about Adam/Eve, Lucy/Ricky, Sonny/Cher, George/Gracie, Travis/Taylor, that kind.

I called Billy Wayne 'Crash' Craddock and asked if we could use the song below....... he said, by all means, "Rub it in."

Lie beside me on the sand
Put some lotion in your hand
Come on and make me feel nice
An' kiss me once or twice
Say you love me again
Then rub it in, rub it in
Rub it in, rub it in

I don't need no stinking Horoscope to 'know' it's gonna be a good day.

Victor?  Is this where you type seven or eight paragraphs or sentences about me, me, me, me, me?

Mebbe.  Me likes happy, I'm sorry, but not really.

RUB OFF.  (and sure, rub it in rub it in too Crash)........

Lots.  Lots in life rubs off.  Most good.  However, among the stuff within discrimination (race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, yada...... we LEFTHANDERS ALWAYS take a back seat.  You'ns always talk about "Eh, stop taxing folks on their houses once they turn 65".... WAY MORE important - a literal lifetime of writing lefthanded, dragging our hand across the page.. thereby, getting any, every ink, lead, paint, marker, yada on it.  RUBS OFF.  It ain't fair.  We should, er, our Government should, provide, hand sanitizer, gritty soap, and an endless supply of paper towels to all lefthanders for life.

I feel the tingle begin
You're gettin' under my skin
Rub it in, rub it in
(Do it, do it)
Umm, feels good
(Do it, do it)
Put a little bit on my left shoulder
Yeah
(Do it)
Put a little bit right here, yeah
(Do it)
(Do it)

I love life. Surprising Victor, about all you've done today is bitch.  Ahm, while rare, even I get a par now and then.

Woke up, (almost) fell outta bed.. walked around for an hour, did not, drag a comb across my head..  bedhead, my sheets rub off.   I read the sports.  I am biased. KC biased.  A really fun article about football coach Andy Reid, he'd gathered with 4 reporters who've covered him forever and day.. granted 30 minutes (a rare thing), let what hair he has left down.... and, they mostly had fun.

Then I made coffee. The Andy Reid article rubbed off on the Folgers.  YUM it tasted good. Then, I read an email from our beloved classmate, leader - who, is battling cancer - and it was in response to suggested event space for our next class reunion.. A simple "Good idea!" it said. HUGE.  Rubs off on us all.  Happy. Today'll be happy.

Then, friends are coming back on Facebook. One, the best dadgum basketball player that ever played for me, 'friended' me on her own. I ain't gots no idea how she knew.  Reid rubbed off on coffee... classmate then rubbed off.. then, friend/basketball player rubs off onto a continued good mood.

Turn your radio on
And find a slow grooving song
Baby, whisper in my ear
Say the things I wanna hear
Make me know your love is strong
And rub it in, rub it in
Rub it in, rub it in
I feel the tingle begin
You're gettin' under my skin
Rub it in, rub it in
Put a little on my nose
Put a little on my toe
Put it on my back and my sacroiliac
And a dab on my chinny-chin-chin

I like beer.  No, that ain't what I meant to write.  That song was'a going thru my head. Songs do that.  Rubs off here, sorry, kinda.

I like words.  A lot.  They can rub into virtually anything - but, I get so dadgum excited when creativity happens... or... as I emailed the dude who wrote the article on Andy Reid, "You Van Gogh"ed it. (ie, painted picture of the affable Reid.) Happy rubbed off.

Rub it in, rub it in.

Back to words.  A very kind friend remarked on a blog "Your mind spills are always interesting."  MIND SPILLS!  I so loved that.   Yain't gonna be able to wipe the happy (nor the ugly) today, offa my face!  Then, this person posted a pic of her/her hubby (twas his birthday).. complete with 2 smiles bigger'n a 8 and a half by 11 sheeta paper!  SMILES/HAPPY RUBS OFF!

Rub it in, rub it in
I feel the tingle begin
You're gettin' under my skin
Rub it in, rub it in

Somewhere inbetween Reid, coffee, classmate emailing, former player friending me, 'mind spills; and sheeta paper smiles......... I visited with my youngest niece.  All week she's been excited.  Her young grandson sent her a request for cookies.  That rubs off, makes ya run to kitchen, look to ensure ingredients, warm the oven up.  Yesterday, she finally got to deliver the cookies to the clan of 4 rugrats.  The one responsible for the request, apparently hadn't acted very responsible - ie, he was in time out, ie, No Soup (cookie) for you.. until you get outta time out. My niece, admittedly sad, but, unnerstands the need for discipline.  (It rubs off, usually in a very good way.)

Our (youngest niece and me) convo ended just after she'd sent me a pic of the little man (grandson) sitting on the sofa... devouring the cookies she'd baked.

Rub it in, rub it in
Rub it in, rub it in
I feel the tingle begin
You gettin' under my skin
Rub it in, rub it in

Good rubs off. Thank goodness.  Ink'll rub off (but, I still want my free hand sanitizer.. I'm a Democrat for behoogity sakes.)

I jest.   A bit.

Sorry.  Kinda.

Not really.  It's hereditary (jesting).

Any label I might be able to carry thanks in part to my folks, sister, rubs off into happy.

Have a yummy day.  Rub it in rub it in.

Anticipation......

I wiped out much of Carly's song below.  This ain't a love blog.  Well, it is, but, not that kind.  I wiped out the 'with you' parts.

We can never know about the days to come,
But we think about them anyway

Mebbe life is the ole "hurry up and wait" kinda thing eh?  Sports, health,  politics, whereinthehelltheRoyalsandChiefs are gonna be (I know, I know, most don't care).. the price of tea in China, interest rates (older I get, more discretion it seems, I ain't got much interest in much)..

Anticipation,
Anticipation is making me late,
Is keeping me waiting

What are YOU curious about in your future?  Who's bingeing what on Netflix?  Are they still young enough to 'Netflix and chill?'..  What's left in the fridge?  Bank balance(s)?  Gonna rain?  The sun'll  come out tomorrow.. unless ya live in parts of Alaska... is that now?  Do you anticipate a nap?
Do you participate in  smalltalk?  I wonder if Shaq does?  Kareem?  The 'de plane, 'de plane guy?  Devito?  You're in an aisle seat, do you hope neither wants to?

Anticipation
Anticipation is making me late
Is keeping me waiting
Do you lay awake thinking 1,279 miles until I need an oil change?  Whointhehell's birthday is it this month? When's the next full moon?   Is tomorrow a flip or a change day? (Undies).
I've noticed...... our local news here has kinda reduced themselves to two modes.  One, "BREAKING NEWS" and two, "WEATHER IMPACT DAY!".  Does that make one think "Chicken Little" or, "WHAT? WHAT?  TELL ME MORE?"  I've gotten to the point, sorry, of kinda yawning.
I stink it up at the casino.  Ain't very good anticipating 'hit, double down or stay', 'red or black' in roulette, 'is that dude bluffing?', and......damnit darnit, WHY didn't I hit "max bet" before I spun them wheels?
You ever hit a golf ball, anticipate where it's going before you hit it, and, it don't turn out like you anticipated?  You ever get in a relationship, anticipate 'oh baby this could be good' and that ain't how it turns out? Or, "there's no way this will work", and it does?
Do meteorologists, weather dudes, dudettes, live by diffen't rules? I mean, like, in 3rd grade (Victor, when you were struggling with you C+/M+ crap) they were let off the hook when they scored fitty percent?  Is there a correlation between them and The Little Engine that (maybe) could? (It's that 'think' part that bugs me.)
When things don't go the way you anticipated, do you.......... deep breath "Oh well"... Pound your fist, get red in the face, say things like "Don't you know who I am" , or, "I'M A PEOPLE PERSON FOR BEHOOGITY SAKES, BUT, YOU DON'T UNNERSTAND, I NEED THINGS TO GO MY WAY!
As I age, I'm finding I don't anticipate much excitement ahead, or, maybe I mean not getting all excited, bent outta shape, I dunno.
Fitty years ago....... how many years ago Victor?  OK, 54 years ago, the excitement that accompanied the anticipation of a Friday night - usedta include, new duds, a splash of English Leather, $5 gas at the Robo Car Wash/Gas Station, a full car'a friends.. Shakey's (or Kelso's) Pizza... visions of sugarplums and a hunnnerd fitty beauties my/our age.
Now, Friday night is Mayberry RFD reruns (they're still wunnerful), yesterday's shirt with a baby splotch of dried salsa on it (eh, who cares), popcorn, soda pop, ignoring 4 texts, 2 phone calls... 'later...  I'll get to 'em later. I anticipate they'll  call (or text) back if it's urgent.  Buy a police scanner Victor, spice your life up.

These are the good old days
And stay right here 'cause these are the good old days
These are the good old days
These are the good old days
These are the good old days
These are the good old days

Them days were good.  These day's are good.

Victor, this specific blog ain't very good. I'd put  it in the bottom fitty all-time.  I'm sorry. I'll do better tomorrow.  I promise.

Victurd, you're so vain. I don't anticipate it.   WHY did I decide to 'friend' this guy again?

(Just like) Starting Over

The below is actually a 'love story'.... that ain't what this is about... kinda.

Our life together is so precious together
We have grown, we have grown
Although our love is still special
Let's take a chance and fly away somewhere alone

August 7th, or maybe August 8th... I have/had a joint Facebook account with my son.  He deactivated his account.  I think he possibly temporarily deactivated mine as well as my entire list of Friends was wiped out. There's no getting mad.  He didn't do it with intent.  And maybe, it was something I did? I dunno.
It's been too long since we took the time
No one's to blame, I know time flies so quickly
But when I see you, darling
It's like we both are falling in love again
It'll be just like starting over (over)
Starting over (over)
Sooooooo.... I thought, it's ok... just find a button,.... click it... that don't work, get aholda Facebook, that'll do it.  Ahhhhhh, nope.
Every day, we used to make it love
Why can't we be making love nice and easy?
It's time to spread our wings and fly
Don't let another day go by, my love
It'll be just like starting over (over)
Starting over (over)
I truly don't remember how many friends were on there.  800 mebbe?  So, just send 'em a new Friend request, that'll do it. (HA!  Better'n a Far Side cartoon - be for real Victor, of course they'll flush your request down the toilet.
Why don't we take off alone?
Take a trip somewhere far, far away
We'll be together all alone again
Like we used to in the early days
Well, well, darling
It's been too long since we took the time
No one's to blame, I know time flies so quickly
But when I see you, darling
It's like we both are falling in love again
It'll be just like starting over (over)
Starting over (over)
Sooooooooooooooooooooooo...  'Tag' some (former) friends... "xplain Lucy"..  ask 'em to send YOU a friend request (if they are so inclined.)  That, may be a good plan for mice.  HUH?  You know, 'best laid plans of mice and men.'
(Look out!)
Our life together is so precious together
We have grown, mm, we have grown
Oh, although our love still is special
Let's take).
Let's compare it to 'the real world'.  Skeery ain't it? Do you, would you - want a 'do over'? Hell to the yes, "AND, I'd like to Supersize my McIRA please".....
But... but.... but...   REAL LIFE?  Do over?   Put your hand over your eye.  Spread your fingers justa tad... peek out...  at...     Job interviews?  Dating?  Diapers?  (Victor, you MISOGYNIST, you failed to mention CHILDBIRTH...)  oh yeah, that too. Sorry.
(Over and over and over)
Starting over (over)
Ooh (over and over and over)
Ah! (Over), ah! (Over)
Ah! (Over), ah! (Over)
Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah!

What if......... what if... you threw a party and nobody came?  I reckon that's the risk I run, but if that did happen, I'd grab me a handy 6-pack of Modelo Negra (Victor, you HATE dark beer).. yeah, but not that one,it's the bomb. Try it.

It (getting 800 friends wiped out) is just like anything else.  "It is what it is."  There ARE MUCH WORSE "It is what it is's"........

If you are so inclined, please shoot me a friend request.  It'd tickle me innards.

“Every day is a new beginning. Treat it that way. Stay away from what might have been, and look at what can be.” – Marsha Petrie Sue

Eh, I reckon.  Love Peace and Soul....... Victurd

Duck Duck Goose... What's your life quacked up to be?

"Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath."  Michael Caine

I work at a golf course.  Victor, I went back and looked thru your blog.  You've told us that 1,243 times.

Ahm.  I work at a golf course.  We ain't really got ducks but we got geese.  Geese is plural of goose. Wiki say : The term "goose" may refer to such bird of either sex, but when paired with 'gander' refers specifically to a female one (the latter referring to a male.)

Putting, tends to be a bit  difficult when there is a gaggle (<-- that's a group of 'em)..  the ball don't roll very well over the little  Toostie Rolls they leave.  Seems they rarely poop on the grass.. they much prefer the greens.

When in flight, they are called a skein, or a wedge; when flying close together, they are called a plump.  Don't you MISOGYNIST me, I copied that directly from Wiki.

The ganders are the ones that honk incessantly. VICTOR!  HOW DO YOU KNOW?  Ahm, I am a certified lifetime people/goose watcher.  I also like to tease a tad.

I ain't running for office with PETA... in fact...in this election season, the only time I'm running is away from the TV..  away from Social Media.. and I always try to turn the subject to "How bout them Chiefs" when anhyone near me brings up politics.  Honk. Quack.

Geese, Wiki  doesn't say this, Victurd does/did - to me, appear to be a microcosm of life here for usn's.  They 'nest' once a year... it's been awhile, but that kinda sorta seem perty close to what I remember.  There are conflicting opines (conflicting, like, Trump/Harris, Pub/Dem, KU/MU, Tastes great/less filling) as to whether or not they mate for life.  Some (most) say "yes", some ain't so sure.  In this day and age of conspiracy, me thinks I've heard "What's good for the goose is good for the gander" or something like that.

Beauty.  There is MUCH beauty amongst geese, life, us.  Amazing to watch when they 'plump' (Scroll to flying togethter).. their wedge so perfect... perfectly in a V... probably for "Victurd" yeah?

They are protective expectant parents.  They always have their eggs within a hunnerd and fitty feet of water... and, a couple years back... we dang near had to turn our 18 hole golf course into a 17 hole golf course as, gander laid her eggs on the teebox of the 18th hole (uh huh, right by the pond) and, they tag teamed guarding it, you'd play hell trying to get near the tees.  Ever eat a pine tree - no, that ain't it.  Ever been chased by a goose?  Uh huh, hard run when you're laughing so hard, letalone try to hit a perfect Driver down the middle.  VICTOR, your course is a par 3 course, you don't need no stinking driver... what's #18, like 190 yds?  Bite me, it's 170, and bite me again, YES, I need a Driver.

Like us....... fridge is/can be empty, gas prices go up, falls, trips, afflictions happen - accompanied by trips to Doc, ER, hospital stays... neighbors, family - argue.  We wing hurtful junk from our beaks, geese do too. They do do too, a lot. Scroll to the difficulty in putting.

Go to Wally World any day of the week.  Twenty handicap parking places.  Folks that limp, ride scooters, needs some  help.  Our golf course.  There was a goose that maybe had been blindsided by a Titleist or Calaway ball - and, had an extremely painful looking limp.  Sad to watch.

On a very serious note, geese can lose  young as well. Our superintendent relates he pretty frequently finds eggs in the grass, broken, away from the nest - probable cuprits, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, snakes.  Sad. Very.

There is beauty, like us'n humans, when, goose walks aside gander.  It is sooooooooooooooo dadgum cute,  when those eggs do make it... and... I'm oft reminded of the family I grew up next door  too... when they (all 9 kiddos, plus mom, dad) marched to the car to go to church.  Same. Same with mom/dad (goose/gander) when they march across the fairway, either,  headed to the pond (swimming is just as dang cute) or, across to the ORI (the green, where they learn about depositing Tootsie Rolls.)

Swift. No, not Taylor.  Time.  Time is swift for geese - just like us other earthlings.  Some can live up to 30 years though.  As those 'geese' march off to  church (pond or ORI).. you gotta observe 'em fast... for.. .they grow... and grow.. and grow.. and perty soon it's impossible to discern mom, dad, from bebbe goose.

I do not know if the youngsters fly off forever or, they come back, "borrow 200 worm$", play Farmville from mom/dad's nest, that stuff. I have, though, seen 'em in groups of 3 and 4, so, I suspicion, sometimes they come back.

Oh Canada........ life, for geese, and, for us human kinds - can have similarities. Eat, sleep, mate, fly (well.. we fly off handle.. they too sometimes).. loss... love... health woes...

There are good times, there are bad times.  Some, make you honking mad..... other times, ya get goose bumps.

A little diddy, about Quack and QuiAnne..... two American (canadian) Geese, doing the best they can.

Forward by Daffy, Donald, Tweety, Woodstock, Huey, Dewey & Louie, John Cougar Mellencackling... and Scrooge McDuck.
